Lucienne Nowland Lucienne has five years experience in public practice. Lucienne began her career in junior roles in accounting offices and then following in a family tradition decided to become a nurse. Interestingly, after 10 years, Lucienne chose to move back into accounting and studied for her degree at the University of Queensland while raising a young family. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce, Lucienne practiced as an accountant in a Queensland firm until being approached by JHO to work remotely for the company in October 2007. Lucienne still lives in Queensland with her family but is one of the firm's three accountants. Distance has posed no problems; Lucienne receives her jobs via a secure log-in to JHO's work-in-progress system on the Perth remote server. No original documents leave the Perth office (i.e. no original client documents are sent or stored off-site) copies are scanned or securely Air Expressed overnight from JHO's door to the door of Lucienne's home office in Queensland . Lucienne utilises all JHO office software via the practice's remote server through the ADSL secure connection. Lucienne also visits Perth annually in June to participate in the practice annual training days that are undertaken to go through procedures and policies of the firm and changes in tax and related legislation in the lead up to a new financial year. Lucienne works three days each week and assists Julie Hamon-Ottema and the team with all client accounting and taxation requirements for all entity types including companies and trusts and partnerships as well as income tax returns for individuals. Lucienne was a welcome part-time addition to the team at JHOCPA when staff were hard to come by in Perth and her attention to detail, work and service ethic for clients of JHOCPA makes her a valuable member of the team. |
